Belgium is delighted to host the 36th Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM XXXVI) as well as the 16th meeting of the Committee for Environmental Protection (CEP XVI) and wishes you a warm welcome to Brussels and its Antarctic community.

The meeting will take place in the Egmont Palace Conference Centre, Brussels, from 20 to 29 May 2013.

This website provides information about the ATCM, general information about Belgium, Antarctica and the Antarctic Treaty system and introduces delegates to the meeting.

Belgium has a long association with Antarctica and the Antarctic Treaty and is honoured to host the 2013 meeting. This ATCM is jointly organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, the Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety & Environment, and the Belgian Science Policy.
As organisers of the meeting, we aim to provide efficient arrangements for ATCM XXXVI and an enjoyable experience for delegates.
